Mission Bay Community Task Force

Mission Bay, Potrero Hill and Dogpatch

As UCSF prepares to move forward with the second phase of development at Mission Bay, we have partnered with our Community Advisory Group (CAG) and have convened a Mission Bay Community Task Force to examine the impact of UCSF on the communities surrounding our new 43-acre campus.

The purpose of the Mission Bay Community Task Force (MBCTF) is to give neighbors and the campus an opportunity to dialogue about the interaction between the desires and needs of the community and the future direction of UCSF in and around Mission Bay over the next five years.

During 2007, the UCSF MBCTF is holding seven Community Task Force meetings and two Community Workshops to identify community issues related to the development of the UCSF Mission Bay campus and to develop a set of community planning principles that can be used in drafting an amendment to UCSF’s long-range development plan.

MBCTF Membership
Organizations from neighborhoods surrounding UCSF Mission Bay campus--Dogpatch, Potrero Hill, South of Market, and the Mission-- have designated representatives for the Task Force; officials from the Port of San Francisco and the SF City Planning Department also sit on the Task Force. (See the complete roster).
